Drug testing is often an effective and important part of prevention work. A prerequisite for the drug test is a written and well-established alcohol and drug policy. There are three reasons to have a well-thought-out drug policy.

Companies

As a company, you can end up in inappropriate situations if one or more employees come to work in an affected condition. Should the accident occur where an employee is involved in an accident, inflicts other injuries (personal injury) or destroys material things (property damage), your business insurance will NOT cover the loss if there are drugs involved.

At the same time, the risk of accidents increases if your employees are under the influence of drugs, as their ability to react and their ability to think clearly deteriorate. Before you book an appointment for a random check, it is important to keep track of your drug policy. reference to the GDPR and LO / DA's agreement on control measures in connection with drug testing, certain conditions must be met in order for you to legally test your employees;

• There must be a well-founded (concrete and current) suspicion of an unlawful relationship
• There must be special conditions (operational / safety) in the work in question that justify an inspection
• The test must not be unnecessarily offensive or intrusive in relation to the employee

The above conditions are for guidance only, as control measures may be regulated in several places, depending on whether you are organized or have developed a drug policy in accordance with the GDPR.

If an employee is tested positive, we encourage the employer / company to take the necessary action to help their employee get back on track. Remember that substance abuse is most often symptom treatment for another underlying problem.

Private

As a private person, you have the opportunity to show up at the clinic after an appointment and have a drug test performed. We also offer to send the test to your private address. Our staff is extremely professional and of course provides advice in connection with the drug test.
